The museum has its seat in the Palazzo
Pompei (Sanmicheli, 1530) and houses botanic, zoological, geologic,
palaeonthologic and pre-historic collections. The most important
and famous collection of the museum is that of the fossil fishes
of Bolca. An intense activity of scientific research on the territory,
that reveals itself with studies published in the Bulletin or
in monographs published by the museum itself, is flanked by the
constant cure and maintenance of the collections. The divulgation
activity is projected and developed by the educational section,
formed by more than 40 educational operators, specialised in
the different fields of natural sciences, through guided lectures,
school-museum activities, Sunday events for families, conferences,
advice for teachers, courses. |
